Clarance Brooks Batchelor was my maternal great-grandfather. He was born March 29, 1872 in Cape May, N.J. He married Clara Tweed on Aug 21, 1900 in Aura, Gloucester County, N.J. They had a total of 4 children, 3 lived to become adults.
In April, 1913 my grandfather Stanley Emerson Batchelor was born. His mother Clara died around 1916. After her death, Stanley was sent to live with her family. I think because he was so young. The older two children stayed with Clarance. After this, I don't know a whole lot.
I know he remarried between 1916 and 1920. I found him living with another wife in the 1920 census, in Hammonton, N.J. with his two older children. But I haven't found anything else after 1920.
I keep looking every so often hoping to find some new information, but no luck so far.
